Our Why

Why would two guys who came up in the fitness industry decide to join forces and get involved in TRT?

Much like Hair Club for Men, we are not just the owners, we were our own first customers.  After experiencing Testosterone Replacement Therapy ourselves, we saw the value, for ourselves and our relationships. However, as life long fitness enthusiasts and gym owners, we also saw  what was missing.

There seemed to be a focus on the “quick-fix” without the commitment ( and results) that a true lifestyle shift can bring.

We teamed up with some stellar individuals in the field of medicine and anti-aging, and launched Live Well Cumming.

Meet Dr. Carter

Anti-Aging Specialist

Dr. Michael Carter, a highly trained medical doctor, graduated from Howard University in 1988 and completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Emory University in 1992. He practiced anesthesia for over 16 years and ran a successful cosmetic surgery practice. However, personal health challenges, including glaucoma, led him to explore alternative medicine, focusing on the root causes of illness. Dr. Carter became a member of The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, The Institute for Functional Medicine, and the Age Management Medicine Group.

Through diligent work, he stabilized his eyesight and began helping patients address chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and more. In 2010, Dr. Carter co-founded Real Health Clinics, focusing on Alzheimer’s and neurodegenerative diseases, and later became Chief Medical Officer of Health Revival Partners. He has also been one of the first physicians trained by Dr. Dale Bredesen in Alzheimer’s treatment and has helped many neurodegenerative patients.

Dr. Carter has been a leader in treating long COVID and vaccine injuries, leveraging his expertise from the FLCCC and the American Society of Physicians and Surgeons. His personal health journey, combined with his extensive medical knowledge, has fueled his passion for innovative treatments that address the root causes of disease.

Meet Andy

Founder/ Partner

I was approaching 50 years old, coming off a fairly serious medical condition, and facing new challenges. I knew that I needed to make improvements to my life.
My doctor measured my testosterone at 308, telling me I was fine.  Normal for a guy my age is 300 – 1100. I was on the low end of normal, but to them I was fine?  I was feeling run down, not sleeping well, couldn’t lose weight, and my libido had dropped. I was NOT fine.
I played sports since I was a kid; I was an athlete. Professionally, I was a Gold’s Gym franchisee from 1999 – 2023. Owning and operating seven Gold’s Gyms in Metro Atlanta. I have been around sports, athletes, and fitness my whole life. I never wanted to be the guy who needs “extra help” to achieve my goals, to live my life the way I want. Fortunately, being a fitness professional, I was aware of the benefits of testosterone therapy. And since I already knew that my number was low, I decided to try TRT.
The results were outstanding: My libido improved, my workouts were better, and I needed less sleep. The only problem I had finding was that the clinic I was going to; and the ones I researched— only did the first part, provide the injections. They did not provide education, planning or help me set  expectations. There was no talk of nutrition or even exercise. I had to do all my own research and figure things for myself.
My favorite part of being a Gold’s Gym Franchisee was changing people’s lives. My franchises regularly won and placed our members in the National Gold’s GymBody Transformation Challenge. And now I find myself in a similar position of being able to truly change someone’s life.
By pioneering a concierge service with a clinical lifestyle coach approach, we will provide the proper coaching, education, and expectations for our patients. And with every patient who feels better, performs better, and loves better will be changing lives and our community.~ That’s MY why.

I was one of the lucky ones. I grew up in a family filled with unconditional love.  The best part was no judgements but the not so great part was how it contributed to my unhealthy eating habits as a kid. A typical afternoon snack was a half a jar of peanut butter, an entire row of Ritz crackers and whole milk to wash it down. Yes, I was a growing boy, but my behaviors created some not so good habits over time.

A turning point was when, at the age of 13, my older cousin walked into our  grandmother’s house, looked right at me eating a cookie and said “Get out of my girlfriend’s chair, fatso”.

I was crushed.

From that moment, I was on a mission. I wanted to find a new way to do things like eat right and exercise.  I lost 40lbs in a single summer by overtraining, undereating and truly just smelling ice cream. It was not the healthy way, but I was driven to show my cousin what I could do. Sadly, he died in a motorcycle accident before I could ever show him I was no longer a fatso. I will never be able to thank him enough for helping me find my true passion in life thru fitness.  34 years later, Robert, I am forever grateful, and I love you. Thank you for showing me that every day counts and what it means to have purpose.

I believe I am here for one reason, to help anyone who has ever felt like that 13 year old kid, and to inspire them to find a healthy way to create fitness in their lives.
